BookOrbit is a client for a self-hosted reading server. The app does not sell personal information, show advertising, or track you across apps or websites.

Data handled by the app

The app handles the server address and account information needed to connect, plus library content, reading activity, downloads, and preferences used by its features. Authentication tokens are stored in Apple Keychain. Offline content and app state are stored on your device.

Self-hosted servers

Your account and library data is exchanged with the BookOrbit server you choose. That server is operated by you or its administrator. Contact the server administrator to access, correct, export, or delete server data.

Purchases

Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat receives an app-generated anonymous identifier and purchase information needed to determine Premium access. BookOrbit does not send your username, email address, library, or reading activity to RevenueCat.

Optional services

Features such as network text-to-speech, podcasts, and external sign-in connect to their respective providers only when used. Those providers receive the information required to complete the request.

For app privacy questions, open an issue in the BookOrbit iOS support repository. Do not include secrets or private details. For data held by a self-hosted server, contact its administrator.
